Rachael Tiffany BPhil (Hons) LRAD, ARAD
I was trained by excellent teachers who instilled in me a love of dance, especially classical ballet. It is my greatest wish to inspire this same love in my own pupils, an objective I am proud to achieve. As my pupils develop into adults and parents, then in turn bring their own children to my classes. I also encourage them to grow to appreciate ballet not only as performers but as audience.
As a graduate of the College of the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) I am proud to uphold the high technical and artistic standards of that organisation. Children and adults are entered for RAD examinations which are recognised worldwide. ISTD Modern and Tap are also taught, as well as Street Dance and Progressing Ballet Technique.
Professional Dance School Based in Darlington Children & Adult Classes
Students of ballet follow The Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) syllabus. The dance school prides itself with its excellent exam results.
The school holds a hugely anticipated show every two years with all students over the age of 3 taking part.
There are often opportunities to take part in Garden fetes, Summer School shows and other professional performances.

Teaching A variety of dance classes for ages 2½ years+
Ballet follows the syllabus of the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD). Children can start Pre-School Dance at the age of 2½. Exams begin with Pre-Primary in Dance from the age of 5 and continue to Grade 8; there are three exam sessions each year and children are entered when they are considered to be ready by their teacher. In addition to ballet grades, some students choose to take Vocational classes, and it is within these classes that Pointe work is taught. Recently Repertoire classes have been introduced and a number of students are enjoying learning and dancing choreography from familiar ballets such as ‘Coppelia’ & ‘Giselle’ amongst others. We also have Adult classes, for both beginners and experienced dancers.
Modern & Jazz classes are taught following the syllabus of the International Society of Teachers of Dance (ISTD) as is Tap. Children can begin classes at the age of 5. There is also a thriving Adults’ Tap class for all abilities.
Street Dance/Hip Hop there are two classes for the age of 8 and over.
Silver Swans designed for older learners, these ballet classes help improve posture, co-ordination, mobility and energy levels.
